The Jolly Sailor at Hythe Quay in Maldon, Essex, is a delightful 17th Century Pub, ideally located overlooking the River Blackwater, offering food, drink and accommodation.

The Managers, Louise & Chanel, are enormously proud of the facilities The Jolly Sailor offers, and constantly strive to improve the already high standards of food, drink and accommodation on offer.

Hythe Quay is home to a number of traditional Thames Barges, which make the view from The Jolly Sailor hugely evocative of the traditions of this historic region of Essex.

The Thames Barges used to ply their trade up and down the River, and are now available for hire for parties and outings.

We can also offer accommodation in one of our lovely bedrooms, some of which have stunning views of the River Blackwater.
